Versace brings back the old glory for this season. In this collection we can totally see the aesthetic of the late and beloved brother Gianni. But everything is done Donatella's way: bold, aggressive and very feminine.
Body conscious coats, slim waists and gold hardware contribute to give an early '90 feel to the collection.
Short black and white cocktail dresses, hugged by graphic and audaciously baroque curlicues and flowers, typical of Gianni's works, but enlarged.
Pop up coloured dresses, furs, all wrapped in maximal baroque motifs and arabesque patterns.
And of course, leather: snakeskin covering little black dresses, or knitted to create fierce clothes.
But what about Versace signature evening long gowns (a must on red carpets all over the world)? Gold hardware, chiffon, feathers, rhinestones.
